Jordan: International conference ''Our Constitution, Our Future"

Opening a dialogue on how to negotiate women's rights in both religious and secular frameworks.
WLUML networkers will join women experts from around the world in sharing their experiences with Iraqi women in constitution-building.
Invited are Queen Rania Al-Abdullah of Jordan, Mr. Ibrahim Jaafari, the nominated prime minister of Iraq, Iraq Ministers, the Iraqi constitution drafting committee, and leaders in the international community including Mary Robinson.

Women for Women International launched its Iraq program in July 2003 to help women support their families and equip them with the skills necessary to participate in the reconstruction of Iraqi society through grassroots level training on women's rights, leadership and job skills.

In addition to the program in Iraq Women for Women International currently works in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Rwanda, Kosovo, Nigeria, Colombia, Afghanistan, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. In eleven years, more than 33,000 women have been assisted, through the distribution of $18 million in direct aid and micro credit loans.
