Morocco: Judge acquits a man who raped a pregnant woman

ADFM On April 30, 2008 the Court of Appeal in Salé acquitted a man who raped a married, pregnant woman, who is the mother of two children.
The woman was the victim of rape at the Avicenne hospital on September 13 by Mr. T. S, an official at the same hospital, while she was having a scan.
The Democratic Association of Moroccan Women ADFM informed the Minister of Health who took the necessary action for the suspension of the accused after the committee of inquiry proved that the man had committed the offence. They lodged a complaint with the prosecutor following which an investigation was opened by the Criminal Investigation Department which concluded for his detention.

9/06/2008 La cour d’appel de Salé a acquitté le 30 Avril 2008 le violeur d’une femme mariée, enceinte et mère de deux enfants. La victime a été violée, à l’hôpital Avicenne le 13 septembre2006, par un fonctionnaire au même hôpital, alors qu’elle avait un rendez vous pour passer une échographie.
