This event was organized to commemorate the 10th anniversary of BAOBAB for Women’s Human Rights with the theme ‘The Challenges of Religious Fundamentalisms and Globalisation to Women’s Human Rights.’ It was held from 24-25 November 2006 in Lagos.
The Tribunal forms part of activities to commemorate 16 days of activism against gender violence 2006, to provide a forum for victims of women’s human rights abuse to speak out against the violations and attract public condemnations of the abuses.

For March 8 2006, BAOBAB is specifically working with women at the community level in 2 local government areas of Lagos State - Kosofe and Alimosho. BAOBAB hopes to repeat this collaborative effort in other areas and states in Nigeria in the future.
