Maira Asif

Maira Asif is a dedicated advocate for gender justice with extensive experience in Pakistan’s social development sector. As a Gender and Development Research Associate at DevTrio Consultants in Pakistan, she specializes in feminist analysis and research. At Women Living Under Muslim Laws (WLUML), Maira serves on the Council and contributes to the administrative, publishing, and campaign teams, leading efforts to combat gender apartheid globally. Her work in Pakistan includes managing national social hackathons and developing gender-based violence prevention campaigns. A Fulbright Scholar, Maira holds an MA in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from Rutgers University, focusing on international law and gender apartheid.
