Setenay Mutlu Adisonmez

Setenay Mutlu Adisönmez is a London based women’s rights advocate who practices in UK immigration policy and law. She has previously worked as a junior researcher and campaigner with several human rights and anti-poverty organisations including Amnesty International and Oxfam in Turkey, Scandinavia and the UK. In 2018, Setenay started work as an intern with WLUML where she is now a council member now to promote solidarity among the Turkish feminist movement and prevent public violence against women under the supervision of Professor Homa Hoodfar. Her research interests focus on gender, social justice, feminist movements and women’s resistance. She holds an MSc in Gender Studies from Lund University (Sweden) and a BA in International Relations from Bilkent University (Turkey).
